Pacific Science Center –
Discovering the Dead Sea Scrolls
PRA provided collections management services for a traveling exhibit to meet the standards of the Israeli Antiquities Authority. We completed condition reports for non-scroll artifacts as the collection was installed, provided monthly condition monitoring for these artifacts while on exhibit, and provided assistance with exhibit deinstallation condition reporting in preparation for shipment to the next venue.
Wyoming State Museum and Archives
We conducted a facilities assessment for three collections storage locations in use by the Wyoming State Museum and Wyoming State Archives. The assessment included review of facility systems and storage equipment as well as an estimation of collections growth for the next 25 years. Our report was submitted to the State Building Commission to aid in evaluating options for planning new or renovated facilities.
Vashon-Maury Island Heritage Association
We provided basic facility and collections assessment services to help the VMIHA prioritize future collections care and facility improvements. Our report provided a foundation for successful future grant funding requests. This project was funded in part by a Humanities Washington Quick Grant.

Capital Project Planning by a State Agency
In response to Executive Order 05-05 requirements, PRA
conducted archaeological monitoring during exploratory
geotechnical work adjacent to the Washington State Historical
Society Research Center in Tacoma’s historic Stadium District.
As a state agency considering a capital project, WSHS complied
with EO 05-05 in the conceptual stages of the project.
SRFB Funded Projects
PRA has assisted a variety of SRFB (Salmon Recovery Funding
Board) funded projects with meeting the requirements of Executive
Order 05-05. EO 05-05 compliance is required as these grant
funds originate with Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO),
a state agency.
Other State Grant Projects
The City of Auburn received grant funds from Washington State
Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to construct the Auburn
Environmental Park Birding Tower. PRA assessed the cultural
impacts of building an elevated birding observation deck for
viewing wildlife within the park’s wetlands and conducted limited
construction monitoring during trenching.

East Lake Sammamish Trail
PRA conducted numerous tasks for this 11-mile multi-phase trail
development project proposed by King County. We prepared cultural
resources sections for the project’s multiple NEPA/SEPA EISs
(Environmental Impact Statements) and drafted a Programmatic
Agreement to finalize the Section 106 process for FHWA and WSDOT.
Columbia River Basin Water Management Program (CRWMP)
PRA is part of a multiple-firm team that has been working with the
CRWMP since 2006. We have contributed cultural resources statements
to the first Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement and each
subsequent EIS completed by Washington State Department of Ecology.
In addition, PRA has led field investigations for individual elements
of the CRWMP project.
Snoqualmie River Valley Assessments
PRA has provided services for several projects conducted under King
County’s Agricultural and Drainage Assistance Program. These projects
were conducted on private farmlands with County-managed drainages and
are subject to SEPA.
Vashon-Maury Island Heritage Association
We provided basic facility and collections assessment services to
help the VMIHA prioritize future collections care and facility
improvements. Our report provided a foundation for strategic future
grant applications. This project was funded in part by a Humanities
Washington Quick Grant.
